Born from the water.
A little obsessed, honestly.
We're swimmers from Penang who couldn't find the gear we actually wanted, so we started a shop. That was 1998. We're still here, still swimming, still slightly obsessed.
It started the way most good things do, in the water
More laps. More ideas. More gear.We grew up on this island. The sea was our first pool, before the lane ropes, the timers, and the questionable 5am alarm clocks.
Some of us competed. All of us are still happiest with a pair of goggles on our face and nowhere else to be.
Back in 1998, if you wanted serious swim gear in Malaysia, not just the basics but the stuff actually built with R&D behind it, you were mostly out of luck. Equipment designed by people who'd stood on a block, felt the burn of a final 50, chased a black line, or tread water in a polo match? Good luck finding that.
So we started swimshop2u. Passion project first, proper shop second. We haven't stopped since and honestly, we wouldn't know what to do with ourselves if we did.

We just want people to enjoy the water, whatever that looks like for them. First length or fifty-first year, we're not fussed.
We only carry what we'd actually use ourselves
Every brand on our shelves earned its place. We've tried it, tested it, argued about it over char kuey teow, and then stocked it or not.
